This completely refurbished and well-presented house offers the perfect base for families to discover the Cumbria coast and Lakes, with an enclosed garden for your four-legged friends.

Nestled in the heart of the bustling village of Gosforth, which is on the western side of the Lake District National Park, this property offers easy village walks from the doorstep, and the seaside is just a few miles down the road. There are a number of pubs in the village as well as a lovely pizza restaurant. Serious fell walkers will love the stunning valleys of Wasdale and Eskdale - here you will find Scafell Range, Great Gable and Bow Fell. Or why not try your hand at paddleboarding on Wastwater or kayaking down the River Esk, all within 8 miles? History lovers will find so much on offer in the local area, from the Viking cross in Gosforth's churchyard to Muncaster Castle, which is 6 miles away, and there’s a wealth of Roman heritage in the area.

As you enter the property you will find a spacious, bright hallway with open plan living on the ground floor. There is a lounge with a kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave, plus access to the enclosed garden. The lounge offers a great space to kick back and relax while watching your favourite series or movies on your Netflix account on the Smart TV. There are lots of quirky features throughout the house, which add character and charm. Head back through the hall and up the staircase to the first floor and you will find four bedrooms: a super-king-size, 1 double, 1 small double and 1 twin. All rooms have been individually styled and have a homely feel. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside, there is a private enclosed garden with seating, feature fire pit  and storage for bikes and sports equipment. It is a real suntrap and is the perfect place to read a good book and enjoy a glass of something chilled. There are a couple of village pubs, shops and a restaurant within 500 metres. There is unrestricted street parking in front of the property.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The cottage catered for everything we needed during our stay, great layout and beautiful decor. It is clear a lot of time and efforf has been putting into making this a lovely home from home. The village is also perfect, two pubs, two restaurants, village store, bakery and an artisan local shop. There are two Read moreparks within walking distance for little ones and the beach is a six minute drive. Couldnt have been more perfect. Very sad to leave. Hide

Lovely village. We ate in the kellbank hotel 3 times food was good. Also the Italian was great. 2pubs and a cafe. Plus shop.

A very well presented accommodation , Very comfortable and well equipped with every thing you may require . Local pubs and restraunt very friendly and reasonable priced also a very well stocked local store . We have no reservations in recommending this superb accommodation .

The cottage was great quality so clean and and so dog friendly. The location was great for beach or lochs. The added touch of. Welcome basket was lovely and I would definitely come back and tell others to go. Highly recommended.

We stayed here with friends and really enjoyed it. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. The location is excellent with good pubs and a beautiful beach nearby. The beds were comfortable and the rooms of a good size. The fire pit was very popular and we would happily return again.
