Cosy shepherd’s hut situated near Cornwall's north coast and the fabulous villages of Rock and Padstow, with a local pub within walking distance. An ideal romantic retreat or bolthole.

The village of Chapel Amble is located just inland from Cornwall’s north coast and near to the fabulous beaches of Rock and the surfing mecca that is Polzeath. It’s also only a short drive from the towns of Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series Doc Martin, and Padstow, a renowned foodie’s paradise with some of the county's finest restaurants. Wadebridge, which adjoins Egloshayle, is a great shopping town with fine individual boutiques, while the cathedral city of Truro, Cornwall’s capital, is also worth a visit. The property is in an ideal location for cyclists and walkers, with the scenic Camel Trail running nearby. Attractions in the area include National Trust properties, Bodmin Steam Railway, Heligan Gardens, The Eden Project and many fabulous beaches like Bedruthan Steps and Watergate Bay.

 Positioned next to the owner’s residence, step inside via the three steps into this beautiful shepherd's hut. You’ll find yourself in the perfectly designed and comfortable living and sleeping area which boasts a wood burner to snuggle up beside on chilly nights. It’s the perfect space for relaxing after a day of exploring. At the end of the day, retire to the king-size bed which forms part of this compact yet perfectly appointed space. The little kitchen is also beautifully presented and offers a two-ring electric hob and a fridge. Completing the inside is an en-suite shower and WC, making for a comfortable stay in this beautifully rustic environment.

Pop on a dressing gown (provided) and head outside to the secluded hot tub, through the wooded walkway, for some further relaxation among the trees and farmland. Completely enclosed, you’ll also find a lovely patio area with a firepit, garden furniture and a relaxing day bed. Sit back and enjoy your tranquil surroundings - you may even see some woodpeckers. There is driveway parking for two cars.

The cottage was an amazing experience, especially as a first staycation for my girlfriend and I. The hot tub was phenomenal and the welcome basket was very lovely and thoughtful. Would highly recommend to stay here for a nice little getaway.

The Shepherds Hut at the Roundhouse was gorgeous. We loved the location and the hot tub was fabulous. The only suggestions I have would be to maybe have a bigger fridge outdoors near the hot tub and baskets or something to store clothes. We were there for a week so wouldve been useful. Everything else superb! It was a beautiful little village and sRead moreuch a shame the pub was closed. So close to Padstow , Polzeath, Wadebridge , Port Isaac. Would highly recommend. Hide

What a brilliant stay at this quirky and unique property, the hot tub was excellent and the built in speakers were a brilliant touch. The cabin whilst being small had everything we needed and the bed was really comfy, would love to stay here again and highly recommend.

The roundhouse hut had everything we needed, set in a very quiet and tranquil spot, spending time in the hot tub watching the wildlife was very relaxing! My partner and I had a lovely time and will be returning again for definite. Will highly recommend this hidden gem to friends and family. Thank you again.

Beautiful quaint place to stay, hotub fabulous and very private, the shepherds hut so very comfortable and cosy, the cats saying hello was an added bonus Everything you need in the hut. Unfortunately local pub closed due to a takeover but wadebridge not far would definitely stay again

Absolutely lovely place, very quite and friendly. Not far from attractions and shops. Owners were very helpful and kind. The pet cats were very cute and loved saying hello to them; they were so sweet. Again, many thank yous for a wonderful stay. Will defiantly recommend.

Love, love, love where it is. Very quiet and tranquil surroundings. The bed was the most comfortable bed EVER and the hot tub was amazing. We put music from Bluetooth through the hot tub, just so perfect. The pub is literally 2 minutes up the road, I would recommend booking. The Kew Farm Shop & restaurant was fantastic for breakfast, do try the EggRead mores Benedict....the best ever!! Hide

The roundhouse hut was perfect for my girlfriend and I. The village was very quiet other than the babbling stream, birds and nearby horses. Hot tub was also perfect and even though it didnt rain the shed around the hot tub was a very nice touch. Thank you for a lovely weekend

This Shepherd's Hut is idyllic and so close to some wonderful places in Cornwall. The weather at the end of October was a real mixture but we never felt cold, which was a real surprise to us. There's a heated towel rail, lovely warm shower and of course the log burner - which needed very little fuel to keep us warm in the evening, whilst listening Read moreto the rain outside. We stayed for my birthday weekend, it was a delightful, exceptionally clean, gorgeous little roundhouse in a delightful location. The hot tub is a fantastic touch and a perfect little retreat away without the children. We loved it and will definitely be back again. 10/10

If you are looking for a private, romantic and special getaway I highly recommend The Roundhouse Hut. It was everything we needed. I spoke with Danielle before our getaway and even though i had a last minute request she came through and decorated with balloons and banners as it was my boyfriends birthday. We really enjoyed our stay at the Roundhouse. It's a really cosy shepherd's hut which makes great use of the space. There is some good outside space and it feels quite private. Chapel Amble is a nice little village with a pub that does good food.

Super base in a perfect setting with easy access to beaches and main roads out of the village. A cute village complete with welcoming pub and post office which sold everything you would need.
